Prof. Dr. Moritz Tannast The Hip Symposium Bern 2026 continues the successful tradition of recent years. It is a great pleasure for me to lead the symposium as the new Director of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology at Inselspital Bern.

The focus remains on joint-preserving hip surgery, with a special emphasis on original research and systematic reviews. One highlight will be the Pre-Course on February 4, 2026, offering practical workshops on fundamental techniques.

We are proud to welcome Prof. Reinhold Ganz as our honorary guest. Additionally, our contributions will once again be published in a Symposium of Clinical Orthopaedics and Related Research (CORR).
